Condo/HOA Accountant (Entry Level) - Memphis, TN

|Description:||Properly record and interpret financial transactions for each Condominium and Homeowners Association.|
|Duties:||Essential Duties and Responsibilities:|
•Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions to subsidiary accounts.
•Summarizes general ledger and monthly financial details in a separate report.
•Reconciles and balalnces all general ledger, sub-ledgers, and bank accounts.
•Analyze the General Ledger and explain variances.
•Prepares cash position reports or funding request, and other items pertinent to cash flow.
•Assists Association Manager in responding to Board Member questions and/or concerns.
•Assist in Tax Return and Audit preparation.
•Assist IT with designing financial reports or Accounting software issues.
•Prepare annual budgets.
•May compute, type, and mail monthly statements to customers.
•Cash Position/Funding - Anticipate funding need for property and submit request for funds. Properly record cash received to perspective income amounts.
•General Ledger - Prepare monthly financial reports (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Variance Report, Recapture Cash Accounts). Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledger accounts.
•Cash Management - Record all bank transactions monthly. Reconcile all bank accounts on a daily and monthly basis, resolve discrepancies. Transfer funds.
•Budgets - Prepare annual budgets to submit for board approval.
•Customer Billing - Billing customer assessment fees.
•Annual Reports - Assist with tax return preparation and audits.
•Perform clerical/administrative functions.
•Organize and maintain financial reports.
•Other duties, as assigned.
|Qualifications:||Education and Work Experience Requirements:|
•Completion of college entry level Accounting and/or Bookkeeping courses or experience.
•2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting entry level experience.
